As far as fears go, papaphobia, fear of the papacy, is one of the weirder ones. I can understand disliking the papacy, but fearing it is odd. But I suppose that's what fear is: irrational. Inexplicable. Fears of non-existent things like mythical creatures and ghosts confuse me in a similar fashion.
