51-Word Story #353: Lamellar? Really?

"Lamellar structures are gill-shaped structures consisting of fine sheets of material held adjacent to one another, often with fluid in between," Wikipedia tells me as I feign interest. I have no idea how to write a story about this. I'm gonna go back to the shell-smashing fun of Mario Kart 7.
