I don't remember where, but I read that the translation for Katamari Damacy (Damashii) is Clump Spirit. Now, I've had some particularly clumpy Katamaris in the past, but I can understand why they'd keep the original name. It adds to the eccentricity, even if it does make it a tad esoteric.
